student voice

We believe in developing and encouraging students to have a voice within the school community. We provide opportunities to do this in a variety of ways.

School Captains

Each year four year 6 students are elected by their peers to be captains and vice captains, 2 boys and 2 girls. These captains run assembly each week with the Principal and represent the school community at events throughout the year. These events include the state wide student leadership conference in Melbourne, leadership training in conjunction with the Secondary College and the State wide Student congress at Parliament House.

House Captains

House Captains are elected by their peers to lead the School Houses of Gold, Green, Blue and Red. Many sporting events throughout the year are chances for House captains to demonstrate leadership.

Junior School Council

Junior School Council is open to students in years 3 to 6 and each class elects representatives. These students partake in Meals on Wheels in the community and drive school community charity events.

Green Team (Sustainability)

Year 3 and 4 students are elected by their peers to lead sustainability across the school in areas such as waste, energy, water and biodiversity.

Library Leaders

Library Leaders help in the library and also help to promote library education in the school.

PMP Leaders

School leadership opportunities exist for year 6 students to assist with the PMP program for Preps.
